FAQ's
'Does it hurt?'
The short answer is yes. If i said no- I'd be lying to you; however- different areas on the body hurt less/more than others- it doesn't all feel the same.
'Will i be sick or pass out?'
Possibly. You will be asked to fill out a consent form before your tattoo takes place- and then you need to answer it as honestly as you can; we've got procedures in place for the event that you are sick, or you do faint.
'if i have a note from my mum or she comes with me- can i have a tattoo?'
if you're 18, you can have a tattoo. any younger; and it's against the law. the act of tattooing minors came out on 1969- so since then it's been illegal to tattoo anyone under the age of 18. you will be aske dto produce photo ID; so to avoid disappointment, please bring it with you.
''what can i use on in after for healing?'
This is totally down to you; you'll get an aftercare leaflet with a few reccomendations on what you can use and what you shouldn't use, but i personally reccomend using anything with natural and healing components- or anything moisturing and antiseptic. avoid sudocrem- while it will heal the tattoo- it's too thick and doesn't really sink into the skin well enough, creating a barrier and not allowing the skin to breathe as it heals.
'what do i do when i get home?'
take the dressing that's been applied off, and give it a light wash in medium temperature water (too hot or cold won't feel nice as the skin is very sensitive) and then pat dry with a towel- and apply a small layer of cream/aftercare.
'can i be allergic to the ink?'
it's possible; but i am not a medical professional and shouldn't be confused with one. if you're unsure; always seek advce from your GP.
'Can i have a drink first?'
If you are under the influence of alcohol and or drugs- you will be turned away. Alcohol thins the blood- therefore makes the entire tattoo process harder for me, harder for you to heal and can affect the outcome of the tattoo. further to this- if you're wasted; are you going to like your tattoo when you wake up? who knows...
'can i bring my own design?'
yes... however making a tattoo design is slightly different to just drawing a picture. you need to bear in mind when the tattoo heals, it can spread. so having really tight bunched together lines isnt always the best thing. so while i can work from something you bring me- please bear in mind i may not be able to do the design identical to what you've shown me. if you bring me a photo of a tattoo someone else has done; and want one exactly as the picture shows- i will not do it. this is ripping off another artist's work- and i think this is morally wrong.
'do you do cover ups?'
Yes. however this doesn't mean i can guarantee to do any cover up; i'll need to see the tattoo in the flesh and advise from there. I will also re vamp existing tattoos- and re-design them.
